BPX Energy is gaining the competitive edge with FME

BPX is a standalone operation of BP, the world’s fourth-largest oil and gas company. LOGIC Solutions Group integrates assets and information to provide insight into the oil and gas lifecycle.

This work was done in collaboration with Safe Software partner LOGIC Solutions Group.

BPX Energy (previously called BP Lower 48 Onshore) relies on FME to provide accurate, trustworthy and consolidated data to inform strategic business decisions.

Working with their service partner, LOGIC Group Solutions, BPX Energy deployed FME to ingest data from many sources, including IHS and Drillinginfo, perform transformations, and deliver that data to an Esri geodatabase. New calculated fields and datasets identify trends and competitor activity based on spatial attributes, while automated QA/QC ensures that the insights can be trusted.

The resulting dataset enriches and enhances the available information for improved decision-making while saving time and money by automating and simplifying repetitive tasks.
