Transforming Civil3D Data into ArcGIS Geodatabase Format

Prior to using FME, importing Civil3D data into ArcGIS was a multistep process which used LandXML as an intermediate format. The AutoCAD Civil3D transformer was introduced into FME last year and we used it to test the transformation of a number of different Civil3D surfaces into an ArcGIS file geodatabase format. We found that using this transformer is an improvement to our original data conversion workflow, and has improved data transformation accuracy and data management.
