Real-time Logistics Visualizations with Kafka

Working with a large Nordic logistics customer (PostNord), Sweco has been involved in developing their Kafka-based infrastructure over the last few years. Using FMEs new ability to read data from a Kafka topic in real-time, Sweco has built a proof of concept to combine the data being fed into these topics and visualize them on a web map. This session will demonstrate the work flow and results,but it also serves as a starting point for further discussions about how to best work with and present data, both spatial and non-spatial, stored in Kafka.
