ParcelMap BC: Enterprise Cadastral Workflow Integrated from Capture through Distribution Using FME

ParcelMap BC is a single, complete, trusted and sustainable electronic map of over 2 million active titled parcels and surveyed Crown land parcels within the Province of British Columbia. The goal of ParcelMap BC is to improve the speed and efficiency of land-related research, planning and business decisions by providing users with the most current spatial representation of a given parcel and its relationship to all adjacent parcels. The highly-automated technology systems that support ParcelMap BC leverage the FME software suite throughout the full information processing life-cycle, including data submissions from BC land surveyors, integration by the Parcel Fabric Operations team, through to publication and distribution via customer-facing services. The systems supporting ParcelMap BC use authoritative sources to deliver continued daily updates to efficiently maintain the currency and improve the accuracy of each cadastral parcel representation in British Columbia.
